“i have a question.”
looking up at you from across the couch, a stress ball in his hands that he was toying with on and off throughout the movie. it was a lame movie, nothing too special about it, but it had been on your list of recommendations that you had yet to check off.
“uh oh, should i be concerned?” you chuckled at his comment while reaching for the remote to pause the movie. shaking your head you sit up straight to face him better. “no, not at all.”
“i was wondering, had been for a while, why you’ve been so quiet lately? i know you’ve got a lot going on, with hockey and stuff, but i just feel like you’ve been pretty distant. you know you can tell me anything,” cale took a deep sigh and turned his body on the love seat cushion next to you to face you. “if i’m wrong you can call me out on it.”
